Elements of multimedia was the chapter that we learned with Dr. Hazrati in week 5 lecture. From the words of Multimedia, its exactly what is sounds like which multi is many or various and media stands for pictures, video and many more or anything that refers to any hardware and software used for communicating. It's an exciting for us as we have exposed to a new chapter in technology that we can use in our lives. Whether you know it or not, you have seen multimedia and and you should be familiar with it. There are five main elements in a complete media system which it has divided in two categories. The first category is static elements which they have text and graphic and the second category is dynamic elements which they got audio, animation and video.
Therefore, in any pictures or media that have shown, there are proximity that shows navigation button, location, the alignment itself, repetition and the colours either monochromatic and dichromatic usage. Now that you understand the basics you can see all of the different uses of multimedia in your favorite websites. While this sounds great and having multimedia will make any site better, remember too much of anything is not good. Regardless of the lesson, Dr Hazrati have shown us a picture where we need to find out the elements of multimedia usage and the principles that have used in that picture in 10 minutes answering period . After that, Dr Hazrati call it as a day. We got no tutor class for this week as Dr Fariza has something came up in her schedule. However, that is not an excuse to be relaxed in that free time. Dr Fariza has given us a task which we have to create our own curricular vitae (CV) by using canva, piktochart any websites that can create CV. In serving the task, I have used canva as it's easy and free to use it. The elements that we need to put in CV are, skills, personal summary, education background, contact to get in touch, and references. As my CV is done, I put it in my weebly website. That's all for this week lesson and tutorials,

So the lesson for today was about M-Learning and E-Learning with Dr. Khalid. M-Learning stands for mobile learning which it involves all learning delivered via a portable devices such as gadget like mobile phone or tablet. While, E-Learning is a learning that delivered to an electronic devices such as computer or laptop or via channel like the internet. When your goal is to have an understanding and retention of specific skills or in depth knowledge in something, choose E-Learning as it appropriate for formal and associated learning. However, when your goal is to accessibility to information, choose M-Learning as the format allows to affirm an ongoing learning process. There are so many pros instead cons itself. The pros can be good to students to lecturer, students to students, students to things and students to materials. Well, all you need to use it are, hardware, software, internet and knowledge and it ready to go to the information that you need. The ability that Learning Management System (LMS) provides are, it be use as interaction, progress-grade track, discussion, uploading or downloading course materials in MOOC or else and it also reduce cost.
While in our first tutorial class with Dr Fariza on Thursday (3/10/19), we learned about types of reflection and how to create a self website in weebly.com. It's same as a blog creating.Further to this learning, we need to create an account and we can design it and put anything that we think it's creative and it can attract viewers. There are two types of website in weebly which it divided in blog page and standard page. Blog page will provide date and comment space while standard page will not provide date and comment space and it also got no URL links to click. This blog page is required to do all task and reflections given during our course period. Let's call it a day. Today is our first class after 2 weeks filled with public holiday, unfortunately. So, our first class was with Mejar Jasmi. The first thing that he showed is how to be on time and discipline and of course in attending class as we are going to be a teacher. Well, in education today, discipline is something that is feared but not fully discussed. Soon-to-be teachers need to learn about all sorts of things from development to creating lesson plans to cultural diversity and managing classrooms. So guys, find tactics and practicing on how you manage your time. Time is golden so make it shines through your world.
After that, we have exposed to a new topic which is IT Concepts in Education. What we have gained from the lecture is Technology is actually comes from Yunani which means skill. The definition of technology is not only depending on the machines that we see but it means the idea processes itself. The strength of technology was put in the first process of idea and the succeed to achieve objective is depends on this. Technology is also an application of science used to solve problems. But it is vital to know that technology and science are different subjects which work hand-in-hand to accomplish specific tasks or solve problems. Regardless of the fact , technology has profoundly changed education. It has impacted almost every aspects of life today, and education is no exception. As we can see, secondary and primary schools used technology in classroom. Yes of course, 21st centered learning and students centered learning are a new technology that approach in all in this digital era classroom. Campus life in university as matter of fact, it encourages all student to get involved in technology. Indeed, technology has greatly expended access to education. A teacher should know more about technology in using it to enhance students' interest in learning in a classroom. . |
